Transforming a  back yard swiminpool using projection mapping

This projection I use a empty room to convey an idea of what can be done with emty rooms. I use my art paintings to project on the walls .

SkinCare

I use different videos clips to project onto my Skincare store in order to show how projecting mapping could be used for advertisement or grand opening . Projection mapping is a excellent and inexpensive way to promote a business.

Using projection Mapping to apply different ideas of remodeling a room.

Projection Mapping Proposal

I will use three ideas to convey different ways that could be used on a business venue for an grand opening or special events. I will use a photography of the front entrance of  my own business as an example.

For Second proposal I chose to
use an empty room . The idea behind using a room, is to show others ways that projection mapping could be used for such as remodeling or re-purposing.

For the third projection proposal
I chose a swimming pool . The idea behind of that choice is that one of my friends have been asking me to help her to come up with  some different backyard  decoration  for a birthday party.

Shower

Moving to a different spaces around the house to create different atmosphere with projection mapping. At this time I use the shower stall with water running. I also use the leap motion to interact with the art piece.

   

Leap motion

In this project I project a video feed from my leap motion. The leap motion it allows me to live interact with the projection mapping.

Ballons

I start to broad my experimentation a little further. For this project I used white balloons and a silky material all around to give it more of a flowing abstract feeling.

ShapesII

I decided to use the room divider and add many squares/ rectangles shapes and use ,my video to   project into all the shapes at once .looks good, however I would like to have different lines flashing around the shapes. I believe I will need a different software to accomplish the task of different lines . I will be doing some serious projecting mapping software research. 

Milk

I am just experimenting on a different surfaces, and this time I am projecting on a bowl of milk. The projection looks real cool, however I would need a much bigger bowl like a bathtub in order to really see the beauty of the movement in the milk.

Whephine

I am trying to get more artistic outcome with the projection Mapping. I decided to use one of my experimental movies "Whephine" and projecting on the squares at different starting times.

I decided to use some geometric shapes to learn project it on. I was thinking in using a black tape to mark the space in the wall. However, I had an idea to use some siding scraps that I had save it for an art project . I decided to use the sidings because I did want to have some texture on the surface for the projection Mapping. I was very please with results. I really need to work on the sound and definitely put my iPhone on a tripod.I believe I will have a external sound, and videotape my work with a camera on a tripod on a project that I think its worthy of the extra work. At the moment I will keep simple, and concentrate in learning  the software.

 Heavy M

I still not have purchase Mad Mapper yet , however I have found a great free easy to use software call Heavy M , I really like it because its very intuitive. Unfortunately there was not a tutorial in English only French, but with my Latin languages skills it was not too hard to get it . I believe the software Heavy M is suppose to have English instruction very soon, they are also building a new very informative website that should be working in the next couple of weeks. It works on PC and Mac.
